Our goals are to improve food security for families, sponsor programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educate the general public about the causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island. Baxter’s Pet Pantry operated by Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank, which was developed in partnership with the Animal Relief Fund Inc. (ARF), makes free pet food and pet supplies available to pet-owning families in need in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York. The pet food and supplies are supplied by ARF and many pet food corporations.
